Denmark – The Flat Part of Scandinavia

Denmark is a part of the Nordic countries as well as a part of Scandinavia. Out of the three Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Norway and Sweden), Denmark is the only country without mountains. Highest peak being Møllehøj at 170 meters. The country really has a lot of plains stretching all the way to the sea.

We have been to Denmark twice. First time to the capital Copenhagen and the second time while driving through the region of Jutland with a few stops along the road. It is the country we associate with smørrebrød and Hans Christian Andersen.

Our neighbors in the south are luckily only a few hours drive away, across the Oresund Bridge.
