Walking in Trosa and Vagnhärad

The last few days, Little A and I have been enjoying and exploring Trosa and Vagnhärad. There are occasions that are a bit more challenging than others. Then there are occasions that are not even close to as challenging as you thought they would be. That is the case for me the last days as Susann has been on a work trip to London. Little A and I have been spending the days at my parent’s house in Vagnhärad. Luckily the weather has been nice and Little A has been quite happy, even with her mother away. The result of this has been two nice walks today, both in Trosa and Vagnhärad. First I walked in Vagnhärad and then, in the afternoon, I took an afternoon walk with my aunt and cousin in Trosa. It is hard to complain about that.

A Morning Walk in Vagnhärad

Being the place where I grow up, Vagnhärad usually seems quite boring for a walk. What more is there to see? There is, however, the nature to enjoy. Walking along the fields and forests is quite nice. Especially a day like today when the sun has been shining. There are a lot of burial mounds in Vagnhärad as well as other historical remnants. I lost count of the number of burial mounds I passed by during my five-kilometer long walk. A fascinating history that I need to read more about. I have almost forgotten everything that I learned in school.

An Afternoon Walk in Trosa

After lunch, the question was what to do now. Little A was a bit dissatisfied and I felt a need to go out and enjoy the sunshine once more.  The result was to contact my aunt and cousin and spend 5 seconds to convince them to join us for a walk in Trosa. It turned into another five-kilometer walk through the center, to the harbor and back through some residential areas – always with the stream, Trosa ån, close by. Here are a few photos from the walk, spring is just around the corner.

All in all, we had two really nice walks in Trosa and Vagnhärad. Have you ever been to either place?
